Jaw Crusher has Increased Volume for Higher Throughput

.
Metso claims the new Nordberg C130 jaw crusher is more productive because of its larger cavity volume, delivering higher output in high-capacity primary crushing applications. The 40-metric-ton (mt) C130, according to the company, has a 21% larger cavity volume compared with previous models in this size class. The larger cavity volume means that more ore is in the crushing process at one time. The crusher’s 1,000- x 1,300-mm (39 x 51-in.) feed opening is able to process coarse feed while maintaining a trouble-free material flow; this can provide lower blasting costs and allows the processing of larger feed at the primary stage. Operating speed is 220 rpm with a closed side setting range of 100–250 mm (4–10 in.). Its operational weight is 40,100 kg (88,500 lb), excluding options.

Because of its compact design, the C130 can conveniently replace older crusher models. Its pinned and bolted design also allows it to be easily disassembled for transport to underground locations. The standard configuration includes lifting tools for jaw dies, cheek plates and a toggle plate, all contributing to operational safety. The C130 can be equipped with optional, easy-to-open composite flywheel guards that allow quick and safe access to all service points. In addition to the guards, the C130 can be customized with options such as a wear-protected feed chute, an integrated motor bed with electric drive, a hydraulic setting adjustment, a rock breaker and a boom combination, and a IC1000 process automation package. www.metso.com
