Underground Rail Alignment Tool
Enerpac’s RAT-Series rail alignment tool can safely and effectively position track to prevent car derailments in under-ground mining applications. The tool is rated with a push capacity of 5 tons yet weighs only 70 lb (32 kg). An integrated extension screw reaches 16 in. (406 mm), allowing longer reach and fast setup, achieving a maximum tool exten-sion of 76 in. (1,930 mm), with a col-lapsed length of 46 in. (1,168 mm). The hydraulic bladder design reservoir allows for use in any position, and the cylinder features large bearing surfaces and an internal spring for fast retraction. The unit employs a heavy-duty piston and bearing system and includes a high-pres-sure relief valve to prevent overload mishaps, along with an inline release knob for added safety. A roll cage pro-tects the hydraulic pump, and a steel guard covers the hydraulic line. The flat base features a rear foot that offers a solid load footing for tool stability, with a V-base attachment supplying a secure connection on the base of the rail. Optional end styles include a wedge head, spreader head and serrated saddle. For convenience, the tool includes two handle straps for transport. The handle lock latch system also secures the pump handle while not in use.
