Screen Line Offers Alternative to Conventional Grizzly Feeders

W.S. Tyler says its line of N-Class vibrating screens features tech-nology and design benefits allowing the N-Class to serve as an alter-native to grizzly feeders for mining scalping applications. According to the manufacturer, the N-Class is flexible enough to fit into most operations with an apron feeder, yet features advanced eccentric screening technology to handle heavy-duty applications. It creates a self-cleaning action that reduces blinding and pegging while improving overall screening efficiency. The N-Class can be used with perforated plate screen media up to 4-in. (100 mm) thick. Unlike systems that use individual grizzly bars, the perforated plate with circular holes does not allow elongated material to get stuck between bars. This prevents bridging of fine material commonly found in grizzly feeders. Built for high production, the N-Class can process up to 5,000 t/h and can handle material up to 80 x 40 in. (2,000 x 1,000 mm) in size, and up to 40 in. thick. The N-Class is available in sizes from 4 x 8 ft, up to 8 x 24 ft (1.2 x 2.4–2.4 x 7.3 m), and with inclines from 10°–20°. Up to three screen decks are offered to better accommodate different materials.
