Handheld PPE Inspection Device for UG Service

Snively says its Safety Tracker is the first U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA)-compliant safety PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) inspection and tracking solution. The Safety Tracker inspection tool reduces time underground required to physically inspect and report on SCSRs and other customer-defined equipment. Import wizards allow the uploading of existing equipment databases into the Safety Tracker platform. In addition, the device’s standard Microsoft Windows interface and standard SQL platform enable the Safety Tracker software to easily integrate with customers’ existing systems. However, the system is fully self-contained and can run as a standalone application. With pending MSHA approval, safety inspectors will be able to take this device into hazardous areas to perform safety inspections where they have been unable to in the past. Collected data is synchronized with a SQL server to provide reporting and inspection data across the enterprise. The Safety Tracker system, according to the company, is RFID-ready, and an RFID module will be released upon equipment certification.
