New Operator Seat Dampens Vibration Automatically
One of vehicle seating specialist Grammer’s
recent product developments, the
Actimo Evolution seat—unveiled in 2006
and available in versions for wheel loaders
and dump trucks with controls on the
left, or for excavators with the controls in
front and an interface for connecting a
lever console—has been joined by the
MSG97EAC/742, a seat with dynamically
controlled suspension designed for use
in excavators, wheel loaders and trucks.
The seat includes an innovative electronic
system that controls the vertical suspension
to effectively dampen vibrations and ease back strain. The system cuts vibrations
by up to 40%
when compared with conventional air-suspended seats, according
to the company. The MSG97EAC/742 also automatically
adjusts to the operator’s weight.
